Tears of Joy

So, to give a little background before I explain, my best friend and her parents moved to Florida back in August (I am in Michigan, where they use to live but I go to school in Ohio). I have spent New Year's with them for the past 7 years. So basically every year since I met her. I was really upset about the move because I basically lived at their place when I was home from school. I was there constantly. I was mostly upset about not spending New Years with them. So I decided to try to save up for a plane ticket over Christmas break. Well, it wasn't going well. I only had about $250 and needed a LOT more. I was preparing myself to accept the fact that skype was going to be how we did it this year.
So onto the point, my family and I decided to open presents at midnight because my mom had to leave at 7am to help with community meals and my dad didn't want to do presents at 6am. The very first present I opened was from my dad and it was a big box that he wrapped with duct tape and then wrapping paper. When I finally got it open, inside was a toilet paper roll with paper inside. What was the paper? My plane ticket to Florida and my return ticket home. I am not joking when I say I broke out into tears. I couldn't even speak. I was so happy I just sat there holding those tickets. The best part is that my friend and her family knew about it but weren't allowed to tell me. I could not have asked for a better Christmas present and I can't wait to see my best friend in 3 days!!!! Its been 5 months since I've seen her. I am still in shock, I had to share this wonderful story! -
YAY! Merry Christmas to you, and your friend! You KNOW she was just giggling to herself the whole time, waiting for you to get the tickets! :DThanked by 1AHayesHorses
