Getting there!
  • I'm getting there! I sold one horse for $25,000 and I've got another going for $40,000. I got a 15 stall barn, about $400 coming in a day for showing bonus(and possibly more as I just got a new horse) I have 10 horses going into the auction tomorrow and I'm creating more! I think I'm moving along great now. My goal is to get 2-3 15 stall barns and seperate then out a bit more to get more horses, get over $1,000 a day, and reach my $375,000 goal for the upgrade! im quite excited!! And when I show all my horses together, I get over $1,000 a time!

  • Hey eastern I'm almost in the same situation I'm bringing in just over 400 hbs a day and sold a whole bunch of horses. I'm trying to build up my show herd. Congratulation!
  • Congratulations on the progress toward your goal.

  • wtg! I'm just up to the point where I'm trying to get my points up. Currently at 330 a day but last time it increased by 20 so I think I'll get there soon enough! I don't have anything to sell, but might do next month when breeding time comes around.

  • Obsidian I am trying to invest into some 500 point plus horses. I'm actually debating whether or not to sell a few below 450 to make some cash. I actually forgot to make a bunch of foundation mares...

  • I've got 4 horses above 500 and one below (high 200s) and I believe that is where most of my score is coming from. I'm not getting rid of them for anything, partly because I promised but mostly because they've got the highest points in my stable xD

Wait, do you mean below 450 points or hbs? I wrote a huge thing about not selling horses below 2500hbs and now re-reading your statement is making me confused....

I wouldn't say you need a bunch of foundation mares to begin with. I don't have much (7 perfect/RS in stalls, 2 in pasture and 1 who will age up next year to go into pasture)...But looking at your stalls you have nothing that isn't show-able xD. You could wait till sunday to get more mares. That way at least you'd get two. I would offer some of mine but they're all drafts!

  • And I'd love drafts! I just haven't found any good drafts I liked :-*

  • What are you looking for in a draft? I've got quite a few and am willing to part with any so long as they aren't my RS, Head in the Snow (who is a black appy and I love black appy's), Tempo or any of the foals that I have bought (those are 2nd gen though).

  • Any draft with higher points so I can get a little more daily showing bonus!

  • Ah xD My highest point draft is like 18. I get most of my points from the horses I got from the available to adopt programme, and I think they're all warmbloods. I was meaning colour wise, to see if I could help.

  • @ObsidianKitsune, on a side note about all of the adoptable horses being warmblood, Ammit released the different bone densities rather recently. It has been a few months - probably more than that now that I'm thinking about it - but the Available to Adopt was created by generous members earlier yet. That's why the majority of the adoptable horses are warmbloods. Since riding and draft horses/ponies weren't even introduced to the game.

Now that I look, I've past my one year anniversary on HJ2. I feel like an oldie now, ;))
  • Just because you breed one type of horse doesn't mean your show horses have to be that type. Points are points. I prefer breeding warmbloods, but I have several drafts and riding horses in my show herd.

  • @Ritsika Really? I didn't know that! Thank you! And having an account for a year doesn't mean you're old, just very wise in what to do in the game....most of the time ^~^

@Confluence I agree completely! I am doing an experiment currently by breeding an uneven horse and seeing how well she does in the showing area once she ages up. Draft mum, warmblood daddy (I wanted to see if satin wasn't one of those have to buy genes and that's how I found out) and she turned out warmblood. Mostly I just make drafts in create on the off chance that they pass testing, so I get the chance to geld or spay if I don't like their colours.
