  • You were blocked for many seasons for not following stallions rules and breeding the ice stallion that these all go back to
    http://hj2.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=174590
Mass produced poor quality Ice horses sold at inflated prices is a reason Ice is no longer able to be sold publicly, worth keeping in mind when continuing to breed these
  • @kintara
I apologize that when I very first started playing, that horse is literally from the 5th week(and lets be real, logged in 1-2 times in Nov 2014 for breeding season, and then 1-2 times in Dec 2014 and that was it), I did not understand all the lists of rules of the game such as "breeders/stallion comments" which has since been abolished when even Ammit said they were ridiculous and making new players feel very unwelcome...
I wouldn't intentionally try to piss someone off.
As for selling at inflated prices, I can 100% guarantee you that me selling my Ice for (average) $2000-5000 (and every once in a while over that) is not the reason Public Sales and Public Breeding are off limits. (if you checked the sales regularly you would have seen things such as fillys and colts who are completely untested being listed for $15000+)
Luckily being upgraded now I can test all of my horses and see what quality they all are, but thanks for your concern.

That horse was bred in 2014. That is OVER 25 game years ago..

For future reference, when you have something to say to someone it is proper etiquette to send an email rather than post in the forum.

  • I apologize Ammit.
Jahdaz, my concern isn't so much that you still own these horses but more the selling of straws publicly to anyone. You say you were new and didn't know any better, however that's not the case now. I would be grateful if you could respect my breeding and the effort I put into getting horses my where they are
    Thanked by 1jahdaz
  • @kintara
    @ammit

I guess that I must be misunderstanding something..? (I am basing this on everything I have learned being raised in and working in the horse industry, so correct my if I am wrong and the game has different standards.)

(I just want to apologize in advance for quoting your pm)

" you were new and didn't know any better, however that's not the case now"
I guess maybe I am still misunderstanding something...

" I would be grateful if you could respect my breeding and the effort I put into getting horses my where they are "
    - As would I.
    - In 2014 I searched for the best stallion I could find, bred to him, and kept the foals that passed the free testing(not having an upgraded account until two months ago that was as far as I could go). Since then I have bred to improve *MY* horses.
    - You put your horse for public breeding in the game and with that I think it is FAIR to assume that by putting a horse for public breeding you run the risk of someone breeding a foal that maybe you don't like. But the fact is that that person OWNS that horse and can do what they please with it, *UNLESS* you sold them a straw with agreed upon conditions such as what mare to use the straw with, what testing the foal would go through, and (really pushing the envelope here but) even making agreements on if the foals future breeding rights are to be in-house only or not.

" ... but selling straws publicly, and even with no breeding restrictions, yes that will certainly always and will continue to annoy me" " Before that people used to mostly respect stallion rules"
    - is there a difference between "breeding restrictions" and the "stallion rules" which were banned?
    - I would think that "breeding restrictions" would only be applicable to selling straws privately player to player (and not selling straws publicly through the forum like so since this is now the only way for fantasy colors.)

"of course I hate it when I see my breeding just being sold willy-nilly everywhere"
    - I have sent straws to two people.. This is not standing a public stallion and have 50 mares breed to him (while standing any of my stallions for stud, *IF* I do, only a couple outside mares are bred before being pulled)

"It was horses that go back to my original Ice stallion Arctic Shine that prompted the no more public selling of Ice horses."
    - It's not the fact that they went back to your horse, it was the fact that they were outrageously priced and were duping new players out of all their money.

At this point getting posts and emails like this is making the game less and less fun.

From the real world point of view: you bought/bred the horse and it is yours to do what you please with it unless there was a written contract before purchase/breeding with restrictions.

The only "rule" I broke was the fact that you still had "stallion rules" on your horse that said "NO foundation mares".

    Accommodation:
After this breeding season, I will agree to not stand publicly any stallion or mare that has you horse in their immediate viewing three generation pedigree. After that point when you horse is no longer on the immediate view of their three generation pedigree, it is mine, and I will do what I will with MY horse.

If this had been a situation where we had agreed upon terms of breeding, you would have been in 100% in the right. But this was not the case, your horse was put up for public stud.

    On an off note: @ammit
The ONLY thing that I can think of that could avoid situations like this, and not worry about new players feeling unwelcome would be to have an option for "breeding choices" when putting a horse for public breeding. So that you would have the option to choose "no foundations", or a minimum PT, or that the mare MUST be mare tested to breed to your stallion.
And so that when you click "breed to this stallion" the resulting window will show "This player has chosen" whatever restrictions and the drop down list of breed-able mares reflected the selections.
BUT, I think that would take A LOT of code writing.

Kintara, I am done with this matter, I don't plan on putting effort into further replying. I would like to play my game and have fun, I hope you do, too.

    Thanks,
    jahdaz

  • @Kintara as you stood the horse for public breeding you are sorry out of luck on this. Stud rules are against the rules because they cause nothing but drama like this. You may not harass other players because of your own restrictions that are now against the game rules. You made the choice to stand the stallion public. It's too late to take that back. Please do not contact players again about your old restrictions. Thank you.
    Thanked by 1jahdaz
  • Are these evenly bred? if so, what generation?

  • @WhyTheLongFace You can open up the horse page and check them out. :D
  • Would I be able to get one of each
    Thanked by 1jahdaz
  • Would love a murker fossil straw! :)
    Thanked by 1jahdaz
  • Wow... I feel like I should go triple check all the rules after reading this. Also makes me want to hesitate to breed to public studs or broods. Anyway, you have beautiful boys @jahdaz.
    Thanked by 1jahdaz
  • Would the foal be lethal if I bred her to the stallion second horse down on your list the pure white pearl carrier to this mare? image
    3G Phantom
    Thanked by 1jahdaz
  • @StarfireAcres

Nope, no lethal foal. HZFrostedWarbuxMurker has no lethal genes; He does have Tobiano so he could just have A LOT of white, but the color coat is also really light because of the Champagne + Cream (and also Pearl + cream seems to have pretty light coats as well).

  • @foxx Please do not feel hesitant to breed to public horses. We used to be allowed (well not necessarily allowed but it wasnt NOT allowed) to have "rules" or guidelines in our public horses notes. Ammit then eventually made it against the rules pretty much for this reason. It causes a lot of drama if and when people wouldnt follow said rules. If you put a horse up for public sale or breeding there are no rules attached to it. Now we still as a whole encourage breeding even quality but at the end of the day theyre your horses you can do what you want. and if someone doesnt want something done with their stallion or mare they just dont put them up for public. If its a private sale or breeding you are allowed to ask for horses to be kept in house etc.

    Thanked by 2jahdaz Ammit
  • Yep and if someone gives you any crap about it, the game owner has your back. :D
  • @moonacres @ammit thanks guys, y'all are awesome. :D
  • The other nice part about the management around here is that if you GENUINELY make a mistake, and are willing to acknowledge that you did so, you will be forgiven and it will not be held against you.

  • Ok can you please send me some straws from this horse
