Pearl, champagne and genetic testing updates
-
Pearl and Champagne genes have been converted from the old CP4 color system to the new CP5 color system and are now more dynamic and accurate and they properly interact with other colors now. They will under go some more tweaks in the future but are at a place now where you can reroll your images and see the new look.
Genetic testing also underwent an update today. Only a few genes now show by default in the horse gene test info area. Other genes are hidden if the horse has the wild type form of the gene (does not carry the pattern/color). The gene shows up if that horse has the mutation. Rare genes and pattern genes are hidden unless the horse has them. The point of this is to limit confusion among members and make reading the gene test results simpler.
So Horses now only show E, A, C, D, G, F, S and P by default. These defaults may be adjusted in the future

Ok, so if the gene has a pattern, like splash, it should show up on the gene test, right? Because I just looked at a foal I bred today, and he has splash, but it doesn't show up on his gene test.

Or this filly that has sabino, but it doesn't show on her gene list.

I don't know if this is something you are still working on, or if it's not doing what you want it to do, so I thought I would post about them, because I am confused about it myself.

It wasn't respecting genes inherited from the dam in some cases. Fixed now.

Ok, Thanks!
-
First off: YAY! Second: Looks like I can't reroll horses that are homozygous KP? I get a big error code.
-
And may I add, varnish + cream + pearl <3 Wooow!<br />

I just rerolled my kp mare and found a beautiful blue eye pictureLife is Special live it to your fullest

I had a bunch of CcrCprl horses and I didn't like the weird yellow color but now I LOVE them. Awesome update, and I haven't even played with champagne yet.
I rerolled a few that were carrying pearl (heterozygous) and it looks all but invisible now. Is that right/realistic or is it just my eye? -
It's not invisible. It has an effect.
