what to do first?
-
I still he quite a few horses to still test both PT and Breeding Inspection. My question is should I PT everyone first or BI first? I have limited funds so wondering what one is the most important?Thanked by 1Riata

I agree with Confluence. Breeding Inspection will help you cull out some of the ones who don't meet your standards before you spend any more money on them.

I tend to do breeding inspection first, decide which of the altered I will keep for future show horses, then auction the rest. I'll pt test the show ones out of curiosity usually after the auction.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.

I tend to do PT first but I also cull based on consistency to decrease the amount of intact horses

I agree that breeding inspection's more important - I'll spay/geld horses based on their papers, but not based on PT (since it has nothing to do with breeding ability). I only PT to know the parents' AFPT which is less important to me than knowing an intact's papering.Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms
