Ok so I'm looking for a public stud and find one that I like. I click on it scroll down to look further into him.See "WARNING: This Stud/Mare has not had breeding advice.Breed at your own risk". That to me can almost be as frustrating as when you breed a good stallion and then the foal is snipped(That can sometimes be your own fault thought).Yes that horse might have a pretty color but why don't you test him/her.I used to do that and now I find I have more intact, good foals. It just bugs me.
Thanks for reading!
Opinions on the topic?

Agreed, I feel the same about selling without testingThanked by 1BlueJumpingBean

I always hope that the person is too new or inexperienced to know that the testing is free and that there have been recent changes.
If you really like the horse you could always PM the person and ask them to test. There are so many people who don't participate in the forum, though, that you might never get a response. :(Thanked by 1BlueJumpingBean -
Agreed Confluence!

I will also say that I have a tendency to not bother testing perfect foundations and the occasional Rank Special, so maybe check them for that, too? (I just got a liver -YAY- Top Notch Producer mare and thought of this! LOL!)

I have occasionally bought untested ones at create price because i figure if I'm buying as a breeder and they get altered I know i can get the amount back in auctionThanked by 1ConfluenceFarms

You guys make good points!

Actually it may not be the current owners fault at all. I own a former stallion that has that warning but the game will not allow me to test it. Hence why he got gelded. Instead of a test button it just has "testing has been turned off for this horse.". I have no idea where I picked him up. I certainly didn't know to look for testing to be turned off. I didn't even know you could but there it was.

You should be able to turn testing back on for those horses. Its in the control panel tab, the No Testing button. If you click that, it should give you the option to turn testing back on :)
-
@shad0cat you can turn testing back on by clicking "no testing" in their control panel and scrolling up & clicking "turn on testing" :)Owner Of Bellwether Farm

There is one member I've seen that's actually not a new member that seems to refuse to basic breeding test their horse when they decide to sell (in fact every horse this person was selling had that exact warning on them @bluejumpingbean). It was really upsetting trying to weed around their horses while I was scoping out a stud for the mares Cheers sold me.
What puzzles me is that isnt basic breeding advice free? And if you're selling the horse it shouldn't matter to you if its intact or not so why not test it? It turned me off so bad that I began to ignore every horse that person's name was on.Be not afraid to ask questions. You're not the only idiot in the room.
