Comparing fillies to dams?
-
Is there away to do this? I was comparing some sons of white hat to him and then I thought if there was away to compare the girls?
-
No, we don't have a comparison test for mares. You will have to use the AFPT of dam and daughter to compare them. The filly will have to grow up and have three foals and the dam have at least three foals, all of them Performance tested so that you can compute the AFPTs manually.De gustibus non disputandum. I've started trying something. I don't know if it will work or not but I'm making a chart on notebook paper where there's a bar for each mare and I've plotted the highest pt foal she's given me and the lowest pt foal she's given me so I can see what the range is. I color the bar in with the color of their paper so I can see at a glance their papering and what they're producing. I'm hoping that maybe some will stand out above the others.
