Blue Roan App Foundation Stallion, Fully Tested, 9.9PT, Out Produced Himself
-
Hello All,
As the breeding season winds down I thought I would put this guy up for stud at a very reasonable rate (500hb).
He's been throwing loud appaloosas even on solid mares and all of his foals have had great PTs (10.5 - 9) out of Foundation mares.
FYI he is VERY little (13.2)

When you want to put a stallion up for breeding and are trying to decide what the breeding price should be, it helps if you look at the breeding prices for other similar stallions, assuming that you want to price your boy competitively. If you don't really care about getting other users to breed to him, then set the price as high as you like. If you do a search for foundation Appaloosa stallions that are available for public breeding, there are 2 B papered Rank special foundation studs(105% breeding ability) that cost either 100 hbs or 250 hbs to breed to. There is also a Catch A Blue Moon rank special foundation stud(100% breeding ability) that is a White Spotted Blue Roan Splash Frame Appaloosa and his breeding fee is 10 hbs. Many of the ordinary foundation het Appaloosa studs cost only a few hbs to breed to. If you want to get other people to breed to your stud you should consider lowering his stud fee. If you're more interested in keeping his foals in-house and only allowing a few outside breedings to people who like him a lot, then you've probably chosen a good breeding fee.

If you refine the search to only look at the studs that are under 14.3 hh, your boy is still the most expensive one. FYI, if you are curious about your boy's AFPT it says in the search that his AFPT is 9.67.

Thank you, Windward.
I'm not out to make money off of his stud fee, but have priced him at what so feel is reasonable for an already tried and tested stallion.
I don't feel that 500hb is unobtainable for people who may be interested in his coloration and the caliber of foals that he's producing.
