PATN1 vs PATN+
-
What is the difference between these? :(
-
Patn1 increases the "blanket" area of white background on an Appaloosa. Many leopard or near leopard Aps are homozygous for Patn1.
-
PATN+ usually doesn't "express" in spots, but in varnish and blankets. PATN1 is what gives you lovely spots. PATN1PATN1 results in leopard appys. At least that's what I understand.
examples:
PATN+PATN+
Dirty Snow
2 Chocolate Decadence
PATN+PATN1
Dancing Delilah
2 Dirty Perfection
PATN1PATN1 (sadly only have one)
2 Dancing and SplashingProducer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
Prices are almost always negotiable. -

You only get the leopard spots if a horse is PATN1 and het appy. If you have a horse that has PATN1 and is also hom appy, you sometimes get the few spot pattern where the horse is mostly just solid white.

Here's her second image after I rerolled her once. Her spots are still small.
