What makes a Top Producing Stallion or Mare
-
Most of the other categories are cut and dry very easy to find the answers, like Highest PT of the Year and so on. Top Producing Stallion and Mare though the answer isn't so obvious. I searched to see if I could find the answer in the forums and nothing even close came up. I'm looking for a very detailed list. Something that I can use as a check list as I build my higher generation herds. What makes a Top Producing Stallion and Mare?

I'm guessing it's a mare or stallion with the most intact or highest point Foals. Always been curious myself :D●▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●

I'm also curious. I've seen lots of horses one the LB's with few intact foals and some with lots so I don't think thats it.Owner Of Bellwether Farm

1--horses must have offspring for the current breeding season to be eligible. I think the offspring have to be alive still (so if you yum a mare's foal she's ineligible.)
2--horses must have a minimum number of total offspring. I think it's 3 for mares and 25 for stallions but don't take that as gospel.
3--horses are judged for this category based on their best offspring--so having some duds hanging around won't hurt your prize stallion! I know this because Ammit has said it! I don't now how many of the foals are looked at though....
4--I suspect but absolutely do not know that the foals are judged on breeding quality only, not overall quality. I could be completely off base though!
May be totally wrong about point 4. -
Awesome, I thought we talked about this in a thread way back when but I couldn't find the thread and I didn't bookmark it. Now I have my list to help me reach my breeding goals.

Also it's not 25 for stallions. I had my boy on one of the lists (for w2 I think) and he hadn't had 25. I think his was closer to 15 at the time.Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
Prices are almost always negotiable. -
10 foals for getting on the list, and either top 25 or 45 get looked at.
