For someone to use my mare
-
It's my first time to put one of my mares out there for someone to use, I want to know if it's correct price to put $20,000 on her and I'm happy to accept your advice if needed.

I think the vast majority of mares put up are between 1k and 3k. I suggest using to horse search to see what mares with her genetic colours are put up for, but 20k is far too much...Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
Prices are almost always negotiable. -
Yes I agree 20k is definitely too expensive. Shes just a normal create. Obsidians suggestion is a good one - to go and see horses similar to your mare and see what their breeding fees are
-
I agree with the advice already given. I have been playing Hunt and Jump since January of 2011. Generally speaking, Gold mares and Star stallions with very long pedigrees whose Average Foal PT is higher than 12 and who have the chance of passing on rarer genes might have a breeding fee that high. Most other horses will be priced much lower, especially foundations.
I have rarely put mares up for public use, but when I put up foundation stallions for public stud, my default price is 1 hb. I would rather have them used by a number of other player to give a more accurate AFPT range than use them as money-makers. Of course, mares only have one shot at live cover per year, so their public brood price should be higher than a stallions, but 1-3K will be more likely to encourage someone to breed to her.

Thanks, I put her out there for 3k and someone used her.

Good. She's a pretty mare. Thanks for being willing to share her.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

When you put a horse up for breeding or sale, make sure you type all the zeros in. If you price a horse at 3k you need to type 3000 and not just 3. :) I was the one who bred to your mare. I was searching for a cheap broodmare to implant with an embryo and your mare was the cheapest one available. I realized now that she only cost me 3 hbs to breed to.
