Hello! I would like feedback on a tattoo I'm working on. It is inspired by the Sign of the Deathly Hallows. It seems a little squished to me, but when I try to sharpen up the side angles, the circle became harder to fit. Do you think I should attempt to make it more of an equilateral triangle, or does it look dandy as is?

It is intentionally varying shades of grey at this stage, so I can see which saturation looks best. So, if you notice it has darker and lighter patches, yes, I am aware of them : )

I'm also seeking an artist for a few other tattoos:
--I attempted to make the state outline of the great planet of Tejas, and it looks more like a bird sneezed Dublin grape soda. If I wanted a grape soda tattoo, I'd be set... alas, that's not quite what I was going for.

--I am open to suggestions for more HP-themed tats. The lightning bolt is an obvious one, but frankly, I like the bolt we already have available to us in the tack as a "cutie mark." Perhaps turnips, or a wrackspurt?

Why not a golden snitch as a tattoo? Also your Texas tattoo looks pretty good actually. I immediately recognized it as Texas without even reading your post.

I, too, think your Texas tattoo looks pretty good. If you don't like the color so much, go back and set the transparency to 75 or 50 percent. You can set transparency using the white box with % to the right. Go to Edit this Tattoo, use the dropper to select your purple color, click on the little box that shows the current color, then find the column of white boxes to the right where you can enter specific values for various things. The one for percent of transparency has % to the right.

As an example, here is a tattoo that I made today (on the horse's thigh) where all the colors are set to 50%. It works pretty well on almost any color horse.

Thank you both for your feedback and advice : ) I will try further increasing the transparency on the state, and see if I prefer it that way.

I like your Texas one too. Its very obvious it's Texas and not bird poo. Trust me I raise poultry and water fowl for a living I know bird poo when I see it :) Your Deathly Hallows looks good too. I know what you mean though about the triangle. Things like that drive me nuts. I'll play around on my end and see if I can't find an answer for you and let you know what I come up with. A snowy owl would also be a nice tattoo and maybe a blue tattoo that might look like a patronous.

Basic upgrades and up have access to the tattoo registry. While its a nice set up, I like going into another drawing program (SAI is usually my program of choice) and drawing out my design there then redrawing in into the tattoo interface.

Thanks, Alohomora, for the compliment to my balloon tattoo.

I really enjoy making tattoos and I enjoy the challenge of trying for complex designs. I have one that I haven't really been using. I designed it for another player who wanted a horse clearing a jump. This model wasn't exactly what she was looking for and I created another one closer to her expectations. I was pretty proud of this one, though, so I've kept it around thinking I might use it for my show string, though I've never got around to doing that. It's definitely a corner of the image kind of tattoo, but if you're interested, I'd be willing to sell it to you for a modest price.

Fj1482, those are execellent ideas! I feel silly the owl never occurred to me. A patronus is very clever! Since it's now the "cool" part of the night I'll have to haul out my laptop (I can't edit the tattoos on my tablet) and work on the glow. In summertime I don't touch that monster during the day. She is eight years young and built like a 17 inch brick... house. I love her heat in the winter (you know, that week from late December to early January), but during the summer she is an angry little furnace.

Sandycreek, your jumping horse is very cute! I'd love to buy it. I'll send you a PM.

I'm glad my grape bird poo resembles TX to the rest of y'all! I think I stared at it too long while trying to carve out that tricky curve near El Paso.
