Gulastra plume?
-
What does it look like? I don't think I've seen a horse with that color??
-
It mostly has to do with their tail. It is white from the bottom up.
-
But the white dip-dyed effect can also be caused by splash! GP is only available from the GMT lab and doesn't occur on random creates :) (I don't think anyway)
-
Hmm does anyone have an example?
-
Here is one it mainly shows up better on dark horses with no splash so it shows up on solid coats better then on coats with white here is an example I think it only shows the white tipped tail if they are Hom for GP
Silver Ending JA -
Oooh I see!! I like the tail!
-
Me to :)
-
I wonder if they can do it to the mane too :-?
-
Hum not sure I think it's only the tail unless Ammit decides to change it to mane too this is the only gene from the GMT lab that I do not own so I don't know much about it lol
-
I think it would be cool to do the mane as well :)
-
Yes it would be cool just frosted tips of the mane like the tail :) but I'm not sure if GP on the mane is a real gene in real life that's probably why it's not in the game since this game is based off real life. But GP on mane would be cool :)
-
GP only affect the tail. It only shows if the horse is homozygous and also some form of bay.
-
Oh ok thanks cheers :)
-
GP only affects the tail on black based bay horses. It will not show itself on red based horses. It also needs to be homogeneous to be visible. Red based horses can still carry and be hom for GP it just wont be visible.
GP can be purchased in the lab but it does not spring up in regular or special creates.

And cheers I have another question does GP show on foals before they are grown up? I was thinking maybe you can't tell they are GP until they grown up because the white shows on the bottom part of the tail and foals have such a short tail
-
Heres a bay dun! Shes one of my few favorite GP mares that I own! I bought her from Cheers and shes 17 already! So sad. I did flush her this season though because I just had to lol.
2g Andromedids GP
-
Wow she is beautiful Moon I need to get a GP horse I don't even own one haha only coat I don't have besides some ice genes
-
-
GP doesn't usually show on foals. These two boys are my future GP herd sires, and as you can see, they are entered in the club but their little foal tails don't yet display the characteristic Plume.

I have mixed buckskins, brown, wild bay, dun, Amber champagne all into the mares for this herd, so hopefully I will get a lot of variation in my gen 3s. The only constants are Agouti and double sooty. -
Oh Moon! Andromedids! I was so proud of her. She was my only Bielas Comet foal that was any good but man was she good! Scratch her ears and feed her a carrot for me please...
-
Oh wow I see I knew GP did not show on foals that's why I asked lol and Andromedids is so pretty awe yes give her loves Moon :x
-
And Coeur-- A Sooty wild bay buckskin like your Ring Master is definitely on the "to breed for" list! Such a super cool color!
-
@Cheers - I'm pretty sure the sooty wild bay buckskin is my new favorite color!
His first foal was a blue wild bay buckskin filly. I don't usually allow Riding Horses in my herd but I will definitely be making an exception for her!

Pretty girl!!
-
She's gorgeous, Coeur!
-
What is the difference between GP and a random white bottomed tail? I have a few appys and 1 splash mare that have a marking very similar
SplishSplash 9 7 -
The difference is that Splash or Tobiano will show up in the gene test. Also, GP cannot crop up randomly in create horses. It has to be inherited--one copy from the sire and one copy from the dam.
The only way it can be found on foundation horses is if it was GMTed there.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

@Cheers I know! Shes fantastic. I love her and Im going to be so so sad when she passes! I can send you a few eggs from her since I flushed her so you can add them to your lines when you have breeding age 2g boys! :)
I loveee the Oncoming Storm I only have one intact foal by him (whos mama is the amazing FruitandFlowers who is also Andromedids mama) but I still have a few straws saved! So hopefully at least one of those will be intact!
And oh my goodness @Coeur I really like Ring Master hes amazing!!
Thanked by 1Coeur -
I have A LOT of horses with white tipped tails, are there any reasons why they're NOT GP?

If they are GP they should enter in the GP breeding club. Yours looks like tobianno pattern though. GP can show up without any other white, though the white tails from tobacco and splash are pretty too.
-
That makes more sense, I have at least 30 with white tails above.ID# 24891

@WildlandAcres: white tails from tobacco? I think your post is a victim of an overactive spell-check. :D I expect the "slash" is the sort of typo my fingers fall victim to sometime.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

I think she meant to type Tobiano and Splash :-)) lol
-
I'm positive she did. :)
Missing letters are one thing, since splash is a common word. However, I've noticed that most spell-checkers don't recognize a lot of horse-related words, and there are some very aggressive examples of such online helps that will automatically respell your words if they don't recognize them instead of just marking them for correction. At least I've seen lots of funny posts on Facebook that have collected them for people to laugh at.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Its funny because a lot of the time my phone will autocorrect words TO horse-related words/terms. I guess it knows me and I talk too much about horses haha
-
Lol when you try to talk normal but freak people out with your horse language :))
-
yeah, it checked them on me without telling me... I don't even use the word tobacco. lol. Apparently my spell check is trying to be a bad influence. 0_0 lol
-
To funny

lol oh my :))
