Liver or black chestnut??

Shes super dark but unsure if the flaxen is making her look darker? So do people think she may have 2 copies of dp or just the 1?

And easy way to remember is 1 copy = chocolately, 2 copies = blackish ^^ Here's an example with chocolate palominos.
1 copy: Kinda chocolately (he is an appy so have to look past varnish).
2 Chocolate Decadence
2 copies: A lot more blackish. Not really a light chocolate colour.
2 Drumming Dance

The black looking boy at the top is homo DP and I would say its safe to say the chocolate boy is as well.

Since DP is hidden, and you need 3 copies of the darkening gene, can you find a mare that is SootySooty and has potentially DP but not liver?DivineDreams ~ 30908

The reason I aak is because of this filly... She is my first homebred Liver!
If you take a look at her dam she is Hz Sooty. Her sire is Rhythm of 4 who I know is het dp.
Am I just having a brain fart on a hidden dp on mares who are hz sooty but are not liver? Thats not possible is it?

If a horse is stysty but not liver/chocolate it's not DP (so long as it's a chestnut/palomino).
Horses that aren't chestnuts/palominos don't say liver/chocolate but can still carry and express DP, like bays, etc. -
Your filly's dam is homo sooty, but no DP which is why she isn't liver. Your filly got her DP from her dad.

What about the other 3?? I know for sure Mr King Perfect is Dp but he has dilution genes. Just wondering if he is hom. And alao wondering about Golen Ransom if he is het or hom. And if NightCrackle is het or hom.DivineDreams ~ 30908
