With this flurry of rank specials, I've pondered whether to make a tattoo. I can't think of any other way to be able to pull them all up at the same time.

So, I'm curious if anyone else uses a tattoo for their rank specials. If so, do you find it helpful (is it worth buying a slot)?

If I do one, I'd be looking for suggestions or ideas about design!

Maybe a rainbow colored star? The star because that's like the RS tattoos and rainbow colored because RS horses come in all sorts of different colors?

It has never occurred to me to do this...

However, I name my rank specials with RS or ExP or ExPro in their name (usually between the name and the color suffix I use) so I could just search for that. It wouldn't be completely perfect, as non-RS ExPros would get caught in the net as would any horse with that letter combination in their name, but that would be an option for you to use without spending hbs on a slot. If you just use "RS" it would be more effective.

I'm the same as Cheers. I just put RS in the name.
Only my RS horses that have a specific gene added to them don't get RS put in their name (I don't class them as an RS anymore).
I suppose an RS tattoo would be useful if I wanted to find ALL my RS horses but I have not yet needed to look for all of them for any reason. :D

I hadn't thought about the abbreviations. Adding suffixes could certainly do the same thing. Unfortunately my mares names are already sandwiched by two sets of abbreviations. I might try that and see if it doesn't look too cluttered.

However, I like the rainbow star idea! If I cave to the idea, I might have to give it a try!

I put RS at the end of all Rank Specials' names, which lets me pull them out of a list, but doesn't let me see them all because I can't easily sort by their suffix lol. Putting it in a prefix would let me sort for them, but since I put generations and line information in the prefix I figure it's busy enough as it is!

I also incorporate RS into their prefix. All of my first gen (unaltered) horses have KE1 as a prefix, so the Rank Specials have KE1RS. I also label my Perfect Foundations, Top Notch Producers, and horses I've GMTed this way.

I do the prefix too. I have gen #, line, w
Rs/expro/RR/etc, then horses name. So, this filly for example - she is the first generation to my Sabino line and she is also a rank special.

I am finding that prefixes are working better for me because then I can see what a horse is on the page with the boxes to click if I found I want to move them. I do, however wish there was an all purpose RS tattoo so when searching for RS for sale I could just do that instead of individually typing down RS names I can remember if I am not set on a particular kind yet.

Ive got a Eye of Horus tat that I use for all my RS and home bred brindle horses. I've been a little lazy about putting it on lately however. I also put RS or EP into the prefix

I asked, as a weekend wish, a while back, for there to be an RS tattoo name (all RS tattoos to say Rank 6: Rank Special - {name of RS}) so it would be searchable, but nobody else clicked 'Like' to vote for it.

Agreed - I'd totally like that wish, because I've OFTEN wished that RSes as a whole were searchable instead of individually only.

I believe it's on the Facebook page rather than the forum. I believe once a month (maybe randomly) Ammit makes an announcement asking for wishes!
