Heterzygous is not bad royal.

Heterozygous means she is carrying one copy of the gene, so she is liver chestnut, not black chestnut. Not a bad thing at all, just means she won't always pass it on.

It's possible I am wrong, but the dam doesn't look liver to me, and she is on the line as far as how dark she is.
