Chocolate and Liver!
-
I sold all my horses including all my Choc and Liver to start fresh and focus on a Hom KP Buckskin line (Rhythm of Four as the base)
But find myself still clicking on the dark chestnut and sooty palomino herd helpers. Got 2 Choc girls today's.
I might have an addiction :))●▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●

Just create as many sooty flaxen chestnut, dark chestnut, sooty palomino and Hom sooty horses as you can. That is how I get mine :D●▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●

Haha that's how I get mine too but I've limited it to dark chesnut and sooty flaxen Chesnuts. I actually just put a bunch in Auction that passed SBA
-
I used to have tons of Hom sty chestnut and palomino mares but refined it down to only Het or Hom DP mares.
If you can get hold of a het or Hom DP stud Hom sooty mares are a good place to start a DP Line :)●▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●

Haha I have a HOM DP foundation boy that I GMTd. I am actually selling straws from him now. He's been my benchmark boy for my livers. I have a ton so far. I used to have a liver boy but he was only het.
-
Oooh Nice!
Once I work out my barns I may have to buy a couple of straws :D●▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●

@DivineDreams, if you breed some hom sooty red based foundation mares (chestnut, palomino, red roan/dun etc.) to a Rank Special Freaky Friday stud, you will be guaranteed to get foals that are het DP hom sooty so they will all be liver or chocolate. Just make sure you choose a Freaky Friday stud that is Liver (or Chocolate palomino if you come across one that had cream GMTd on) because Freaky Fridays can also be black or bay. The Freaky Friday RS gives horses that are hom DP, hom sooty, and hom frame, but they can potentially be EE or Ee, which you want to avoid if you're trying to breed livers. There are usually some liver Freaky Fridays up for public stud for very reasonable prices.

Thank you guys! I will do all of your suggestions! So far Rhythm has given me some nice livers and chocolate pallys!DivineDreams ~ 30908

Just remember with Freaky Friday if your Foals get Frame try to avoid breeding to other frame horses so you don't get a lethal white foal :)●▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●

Yes, the Rhythm of Four horses can also give you some nice DP foals. However, if you're breeding ordinary or perfect foundation mares to a Rhythm stud, you may be noticing that you're getting a greater number of snipped foals than usual, especially if you're using SBA on all your foals. This is because Rhythm of Four horses are exceptionally perfect and they are better breeders than regular foundations, so if you breed a regular foundation to an exceptional foundation you are breeding 2 horses that don't have the same level of breeding ability and you will get a greater number of snipped foals. You can still get some very nice foals from breeding regular to exceptional and you can even get A/Blue papered foals that way, although that's pretty rare unless both parents are exceptional. You will just get a lot more snipped foals in the process and not as many intact ones. The Freaky Fridays are perfect foundations instead of exceptional foundations, so they are a good choice for your regular foundation mares, while RoF stallions are a great choice for your exceptional foundation mares.
-
What is funny is that I am getting more snipped foas from my Kings Ransom stallion! I got one intact foal from him and he papered C! I have 1 mare that always produces beautiful intact foas to Rhythm of 4, and two others that have each given me intact foals from him.
Really disappointed in my KingsRansom stallionDivineDreams ~ 30908

So would Perfect Foundations breed better to other Perfect Foundations and ExPros? What about TNP?DivineDreams ~ 30908

I have a HOM DP Texas Tea Stallion and I just breed him to yellow papered girls who passed SBA. Before that I had a Liver Stallion that I was breeding to dark chesnuts and sooty flaxen chesnuts.
-
So it has been you guys taking all the dark chestnut and sooty flaxen chestnut HH! =))
-
Haha right I hear you Bluejumpingbean I'm always missing out on them too haha
-
Haha sorry guys :) I just get so excited! I did SBA and put up all the ones I didn't want in auction:)Thanked by 1StarfireAcres

Top Notch Producers have perfect foundation breeding ability, but unlike perfect foundations, TNPs have a random amount of showing ability. Exceptional producers are the same way, they have the same level of breeding ability as exceptionally perfects but a random level of showing ability.
Perfect Foundation and equivalent Rank Specials
C/Yellow papered
100% breeding ability
100% showing ability
Perfectly consistent
Examples: Perfect Foundations, horses from Foundation Rescue, RS such as Stars and Stripes, Kings Ransom, Texas Tea, etc.
Top Notch Producers
C/Yellow papered
100% breeding ability
Random showing ability
May or may not be consistent
Examples: Top Notch Producers, occasionally TNPs show up in foundation rescue if they also got perfect showing ability
Exceptionally Perfect and equivalent Rank Specials
B/Red papered
105% breeding ability
105% showing ability
Perfectly consistent
Examples: Exceptionally Perfect, RS like Nanotech, Bonefire, Storm Warning, etc.
Exceptional Producer Rank Specials (Rank 5 exceptional producers are NOT in this category)
B/Red papered
105% breeding ability
100% showing ability
Perfectly consistent
Examples: RS like Sparkling Cider, Out with a bang, Yule Log Ashes, etc.
Exceptional Producers (like the rank 5 ones we got for 11th anniversary)
B/Red papered
105% breeding ability
Random showing ability
May or may not be consistent
Examples: Exceptional Producers
Occasionally you will come across older mares who were papered under the original system where a mare's paper level was judged by the quality of her foals and mares could not be papered at birth. Some ordinary foundation mares were able to paper Red under this system however they are not any better than perfect foundations. If it was possible to repaper these mares, they would paper Yellow.Thanked by 1StarfireAcres -
Thank you for the clarification! So when it says 100% or 105% breeding ability what does that really mean?DivineDreams ~ 30908
