Missing Breeders Clubs..
  • I noticed whilst registering my stock for the different breeders clubs that there is no breeders club for Chocolate Palominos! There is one for livera which is separate from chestnut. There is also a cream! So why not a Chocolate Palomino?

Breeder of KitM, W10, W3, Livers, Chocolates, Brown, S+, Pearl, Macchiato, Nexus, and WaterColor!
  • Ooo! Seconded!
ID# 25784 Home of quality Artylian Drafts & Cobs
Breeding little classic champagnes, pearl snowflakes with DP, KP with DP and other goodies, and axiom on pearl dilutes.
  • Because you can join both of those clubs with the same horse anyway. The clubs are more about genes than all-around colors. Chocolate palomino is a combination of different colors, and each club is meant to be something broad and basic. :)

  • Like RoseFlute said, both Liver Chestnuts and Chocolate Palominos can be registered in the "Liver" club - think of it more as a red-based DP club than specifically for "Liver Chestnuts" only. Just like the Cream club includes Palominos, Buckskins, Smokey Blacks, etc instead of having separate clubs for all of those colors. The clubs are based more on genes than phenotypes.
  • Chocolate Palominos fall under the "liver" designation, since they're liver chestnut with cream.
  • Liver club also includes the black chestnuts, even though they are just called Liver.
