Bred my first hom satin. She stayed intact and papered blue! Her sire is a tough one to get intact foals from, even with a full pasture bonus. These two are the only ones out of 9 to stay intact. The splash filly is het satin and blue also :)Thanked by 1supersarah -
Very pretty the satin is very shiny :x congrats on your first Hom sasa

Congrats! Just saying you're probably having so many problems with him because he's uneven and probably isn't as good as some of the mares. I've had that problem. I've had studs that are even and still don't do well just because the mares are better. My het Satin 6G stud and a 6G stud out of one of my best 5G studs are poor producers and they are even bred they just aren't as good (they haven't been in pasture tho and probably never will be)

I think he's really close to an A. As soon as I get a stud colt out of him that is at least het satin and passes SBA I'll do SBA on him. He'll most likely be gelded, but I'll have a better colt. Tossing around the idea of GMTing the hom and making she a he and consistent, but it'll require real money, so I'm not sure yet. I also need more barns. Decisions, decisions... :)
