  • Dam and sire are way uneven in quality.
  • I second Ammit. Dad should be bred to blue mares, and mom should be bred to B papered stallions. I would either breed your stallion to 3g mares who paper blue, or have a separate line for boosted horses.

If you look at my one of my foals you can see where I had to throw off my generations to match breeding quality, but it ended up in a foal which past SBA and also papered well. There's nothing wrong with breeding uneven horses as long as they are the same breeding ability and quality as each other.

  • I was hoping Apocalyptic Queen was a high red but apparently not, I'm going to keep breeding Moon with my other second gen mares as most are high reds and out of 20 pasture falls only 1 got snipped and about 75% of them were blue/A, I'll breed apocalyptic queen to her half brother next time as he's a B.

  • I was hoping my foals mom was a high red bordering blue as well and I ended up getting a bit of a shock with her first foal. Her second two have been perfect as far as papering, PT and consistency is concerned.

I know I've got to do some shuffling around in pasture as I have quite a few mares who are higher or lower than I anticipated them to be.

  • You absolutely could get an intact foal from the pair, but just expect lots of altered foals from them.
