    I was looking through my 2G studs and I was looking at this boy. I thought there is no way he's a HOM Snowflake maybe HET. So I bred him to a HOM Snowflake mare of mine and he gave me a beautiful intact HOM colt. I decided to just look as see and I took him out of his Appaloosa breeders club and clicked on Snowflake App not expecting him to show up but HE DID! I never knew what a great surprise huh? He's sired by a Yule Log Ashes stud and out of a Catch A Blue Moon mare.

    Love those snowflakes. I had it show up in a 4th gen stud colt. I'm trying to figure out which one of the foundations was the carrier.

    Wow. My YLA stud shouldn't even be a carrier though lol he's not even an appy but I'm ok with it BlueMoons was a very nice surprise and so was his baby

    He doesn't have to have appy to carry snowflake, they're separate genes. Like how a black or bay horse can have flaxen genes, they just don't show up without the other.

    I'm not saying that CABM has snowflake, but the first mare I found as a carrier was of that rank special. I'm pretty sure it's a coincidence but still, kinda odd that there's another person out there with one as well :) Congrats on the surprise snowflake!
