I got some 11.1 s. 8 of them, in fact, all descended from my top 2 gen 2 stallions.

I have one 11.3, among my intact horses (which I can search for by generation). I don't have a way to easily examine the neuters, since I don't tattoo them or put their generation in their names.

My understanding of PT is that it has 2 purposes. The PT of any individual horse is as Paints says--an indication of how long (and possibly well) a horse will train and therefore how many weeks it will be able to move up the showing levels.

However, the average foal PT of any breeding animal can speak to its quality as a breeder when compared to any other breeding horse of the same generation and with similar breeding opportunities (for instance, 2 foundation mares who live in the same pasture and are bred to the same stallion/batch of stallions for several seasons). The horses with higher AFPTs are better breeders if other differences are controlled.

Certainly the fact that I only have 2 gen 2 stallions giving me foals with such high PTs makes me want to think about looking at those stallions in the next season or two and compare their AFPTs! Either way I'm super excited it's a NYC Levels colt that is giving Fj high PT foals!
